Sunset is a diptych inspired by air. It represents sunlight playing through clouds and layers of atmosphere to create ephemeral and stunning colours and patterns in the sky. The two similar but different paintings are a reminder that no one sunset will ever look quite the same as the next. The nature of the weather conditions and clouds will always make the sight of a sunset a unique and fleeting experience.
