Murmurations is a series of abstract acrylic paintings created in 2019 and 2020.

When I lived in Oxford, I used to go for long walks on Port Meadow to get away from the city and the pressures of life and studying. I would feed the horses sugarlumps and let my mind run free.

On one of these walks I witnessed a murmuration. The sounds and sight of that fleeting but awesome event left a lasting impression on me, and was the inspiration for this series of paintings.

Shoreline Murmuration
